 A surprising amount of 16th century decoration remains in evidence at Nrsing Dev Palace, Datia. Often, colour is used to accentuate architectural features or to emphasise their underlying geometry. My transformation extends this idea in a fanciful way; it brings together a range of the Palace's half-ruined decorative elements to form a perfect heptagon.
