Pacific Palisades

Built by Charles and Ray Eames in 1949, this house was the result of a visionary project sponsored by Arts + Architecture in Southern California.  It is one of a number of Case Study Houses experimenting with prefabricated off-the-shelf components.  My interpretation stresses the flow of the exterior landscape into the interior (and vice versa) by taking an almost Indian latitude in juxtaposing interior
views within the modular structural pattern.
