 Every possible surface at Topkapi Palace, Istanbul, appears to be decorated with complex permutations of Islamic tiling. The result is a series of jewel-like interiors. Here, the colourful treatment applied to the inner surfaces of a dome is taken as a starting point for creating an emblem of Topkaki's decorative complexity. |
